It has affected people worldwide because of how helpless people in Haiti probably are. Their are signs everywhere asking people to donate money or anything that can be useful for the people of Haiti.
There are also troops from the U.S. going to help rescue people that can probably be found under the collapsed structures. The message is being sent out as a voice for help for the people of Haiti.
